Motherhood Photography on film

Because Mothers Deserve to Be Seen

Motherhood sessions are available across Seattle and Tacoma, in your home, my studio, or a meaningful outdoor location. These film-only sessions last about an hour, with simple prompts and gentle direction, and you receive a gallery that centers you and your relationship with your children, which is why many mothers choose The Signature Session here.

Is a motherhood session right for you?

A motherhood session might be right for you if you

  • Notice you are in very few photos with your kids

  • Want images that center you and your children, not the whole family at once

  • Want to feel seen in the way you actually mother, not posed into something that does not feel like you

  • Want time that feels slower and more focused than a standard family session

  • Want your kids to have photos that show how it felt to be close to you

These sessions are for mothers who are ready to step into the frame with their kids and want the experience to feel calm and grounded, not like a production.

What to know

Short and simple, here is what you can expect from a motherhood session.

  • Timing - Whenever you feel pulled to be in photos with your kids, whether you have a baby, toddlers, older kids or a mix

  • Location - Often at home or in a familiar place where your kids are comfortable. A park, the backyard, the living room or your bedroom are all good options

  • Who is included - You and your children are the focus. A partner can step in for a few frames if you would like, but the session is centered on you with your kids

  • How I shoot - Simple direction, lots of room for real interaction, everything photographed on film for a soft, grounded feel

  • What you receive - A curated online gallery with the strongest images of you and your children together

“I didn’t know how badly I needed to be seen until I saw these photographs. They’re more than just pictures, they are reminders that I was there, loving them in the small, invisible ways no one else saw.”
