In-home Newborn Photography on film
The Beginning of Everything
As a Seattle and Tacoma newborn photographer, I offer film-only, in-home sessions that are baby-led, calm, and centered on your comfort. We typically spend 2 hours together, with plenty of time for feeding, changing, and cuddling, and you receive a thoughtfully curated gallery of your baby, your family together, and the quiet in-between moments, with The Sonnet and The Ballad packages being the best fit for newborn sessions.

Is an in-home newborn session right for you?
An in-home newborn session might be right for you if you
Want to stay home and not worry about packing everyone up
Prefer photos that show what life actually looks like with a new baby
Want feeding, changing, and soothing to be part of the story, not something you hide
Feel tired and a little tender, and want a photographer who expects that
Want your older kids, pets, or partner included in a way that feels natural
Care about having artful photos, but don’t want your house or baby to look “perfect”
If you read this and feel relief, you’re in the right place.
What to know
Short and simple, here’s what you can expect from an in-home newborn session.
Timing – Usually within the first 2–6 weeks, but we can photograph later if that feels better for you
Location – Your home, in the rooms where you actually spend your time (often bedroom, living room, nursery)
Baby-led – We follow your baby’s rhythm. If they need to feed or be held the entire time, that’s okay
Who’s included – Baby, you, your partner, and any siblings or pets you’d like to include
How I shoot – Everything is photographed on film for a calm pace and soft, grounded images
What you receive – A curated online gallery with the strongest images from our time together
Add Maternity To Your Newborn Story
When you’re already planning newborn photos, it can feel like maternity might be “extra.” But this season you’re in right now is part of the story too. The Ballad Session is a bundle that gives you both one maternity session while you’re still waiting and one newborn session once your baby is here so the way you are holding this child in your body and the way you hold them in your arms live together in one connected story.
“I didn’t feel like myself in those few first weeks…. tired, swollen, unsure. but somehow, Brooke saw me so clearly. These photographs hold so much tenderness. They remind me that even in the blur, I was full of love. And that is what I want to remember most.”
